The two months since I last sent an update have been quite busy. July was spent building a roof for out Sunday afternoon services with a work team from Canada. In August we learned division and last week I had the opportunity to go to Spanish immersion school.
I was able to join the work team that was here for just under two weeks. We built the roof for the church services and completed the Sunday school classroom. We built the roof at Nicholas and Lilliam’s, who are an important family to the La Semilla ministry. It was really good to get to know the members of the team and build stronger relationships with some of the Nicaraguans that attend the services. We also went into the community by Nicholas and Lilliam’s to help re-paint a school. It was great to work alongside the community members and build relationships with them.
After the work team left, Elijah and Rachel (the two youngest children) got right back into school and we spent the end of July and beginning of August learning division. They started orientation for online school this week and for the last few months here I will be helping them with that.
Last week I had the opportunity to go to a school called Granada Nicaragua Spanish School. I was in Granada for a week staying with a Nicaraguan family there and going to school for several hours each day. It was a great experience in which I learned quite a bit of Spanish and more about the history and culture of Nicaragua.
With just over months left in Nicaragua, I am heading into the final stretch of my time here. I still need to raise about $600 per month, therefore I will need just over $1800 to complete my ministry here. I ask that if God is calling you to give, you will help me finish strong financially. I also ask that you would continue to pray for me and this ministry in Nicaragua. Prayer that I would stay focused on my job here and that I would continue to learn and grow.
